Are we living in a simulated world?

Elon Musk and Neil deGrasse Tyson think that we might be living in a simulation like a computer-generated reality developed by a higher being or civilization.

We are like a character in a video game that roams around in a simulated world and that world in front of our very eyes is rendered only when we are looking at it. Fascinating.

There is a set of mathematical and physical properties that govern the world and determine its behavior. These principles just like the variables and constants of a software program define the parameters and boundaries of the functionalities of a program. Changing the values might result in unpredictable behavior and things might not work properly or harmonically soon after.

All human inventions have to obey all the principles, is like a blueprint for an architect shaping how a skyscraper should be built so the ground can withstand the height and weight of the building. The building has to be built with environmental limitations.

Speaking of limitation, our brain capacity seems to be limited in some way. We can only learn so much information at a time and we eventually reach a point where we have to forget older information to have newer ones.

There is also a limit on how many complex thoughts we can have before our brain starts telling us to stop thinking about it. Is like we are bound to a set of processing power that cannot exceed a certain level so it does not break the simulated environment.

Some times events occur and it is unexplainable and seems to be glitches in the matrix they say, it looks like a computational or rendering error in a software program.

The world also operates and behaves in a way that is so balanced that it is in a state of equilibrium. It is arguable whether it is by chance or the result of billions of years of evolution that is essential for the existence of life on earth or could be simulated and to have the simulation to work, everything has to work harmonically.

If simulation theory is true to some extend, why are we being simulated in the first place? Does that means there is a higher power like a God or alien with much advance civilization has us simulated?

If we are a product of higher power are we also labourer to them? With the rise of AI and advance robotics, in the context of simulation theory I can’t ignore the fact that maybe our maker is using us to create a more intelligent and non flesh-based labourer to create their next generation of workers that is repairable, not prone to diseases and easier to be programmed.

Often forward thinking, full of imagination of unrealistic events just to escape the reality. Attempt to write those into words to make ways for more.
